About us.
At Duke Street Church, being a disciple goes beyond mere religious attendance. It's a way of life, a journey that invites us to grow, multiply, and mature as followers of Christ. We're here to support one another, learn from each other, and walk together towards a deeper connection with our Saviour.
We have always been an independent church, a community of local people walking together in our pursuit of God. Our church DNA is evangelical - a word that is often misunderstood but it simply means 'good news'. We believe God's great plan is the greatest news for the world - a story of love, rescue, resurrection and restoration. Again and again we find it is as vital to life today as it's ever been. Applying the Bible to our lives is really important to us; we are determined to let our lives, words and actions, share God's story with the world.
Day-to-day we are a church family with a range of activities happening throughout the week for all ages, inviting anyone and everyone through our doors. Come down to drink coffee, to pray, to worship, there will be a friendly face to welcome you in.
